Fixed the Flap switch Rigging...... - 3.0 hrs

Today I was able to get the flap switch working correctly. I am using the Flap Position System from Van's. It has been working but the first position is supposed to be 10 degrees and it was only half that. Also you should be able to hit the switch in the up position and the motor should retract and automatically shut off when the flaps are in the full up position.

Anyway I have been trying to figure out the issue and today I notice that the 2 connections were not at the right measurment on the flap motor rod. I adjusted this and was able to get it to work correctly.

Next I downloaded the engine data from the EFIS and this will allow me to create an excel sheet of all of the engine data for all of the engine runs since the first start back in April. Then it was time to take her outside for a startup.

Still without power at the hangar and that should be fixed in the next 2 weeks. I wanted to do an engine run since it had been so long. Again it fired right up and ran perfect. Since it is cooler now it took awhile for the oil temp to come up but once it did I did a taxi and run up with cycling the prop.

With that done I taxied back to the hangar and put her back in the hangar. I should get the canopy pieces in 2 weeks and then I can finish her up.
