Left Wing Tip ..... - 3.0 hrs

I received my solder sleeves from Stien. I ended up moving the coax that will be hooked up to the Archer antenna back by drilling another hole for a snap bushing. With the antenna moved forward in the tip you need the connection coming in from behind. I made up the coax with the terminals that came with the antenna. Its ready to mount.

Next I started drilling the wing tip in place. I started at the leading edge and worked my way back. With the rear rib in place I was able to make sure the trailing edge stayed in line with the aileron. I alternated every few holes by drilling some in the bottom and then back to the top until it was complete. Then I removed the tip and cleaned up the drill shavings.

Next I clamped the rear rib in place and used the rivet fan to layout 10 rivets on each side. I drilled one by one replacing the spring clamps with the clecos. Looks good and ready to rivet in.

Last I used a scotchbrite disk to clean up the edges where I had to trip for clearance. Deburred and ready for riveting.
